  • 1 cup Chamoy
  • Lollipop sticks or tamarind candy straws

  • Water
  • ¾ cup tequila or rum (optional)

These mangoneadas are so yummy, & easy to make. To make your own mango sorbet, just take you about 3-4 cups of frozen mangoes, some water, freshly squeezed lemon juice, about a 12 cup of simple syrup; then add it all to your blender & blend until it is nice (smooth or roughly smooth, your choice).

  3. In a blender, combine the sugar, lime juice, nectar, and 2 cups cold water, and blend on high until smooth. It’s possible that you won’t be able to blend it completely smooth. Mango pieces should be tiny.
  4. If used, combine with tequila or rum.
  5. Fill the small glasses or containers with the blended mango juice.
  6. Place it in the freezer. Place the Magoneada in the freezer for 5 minutes before inserting the lollipop sticks.
  7. Place the sticks in the middle of the mangoneada cup after 5 minutes. Then let the magoneada to totally freeze.
  8. If you’re serving mangoneada, you can add (a) chamoy and chile piquin or (b) chamoy and a sprinkling of tajin (tajin contains chili, lime, and salt, and it’s available ready-made) if you choose.
